Jemad Fitness was born from real-life experiences—the highs, the heartbreaks, and the moments that made us stronger. Our founder’s story is at the heart of everything we do: a mom who faced postpartum depression, rejection in gym spaces, and the overwhelming weight of life, but still rose—and chose to help other women rise too.

Hi, I’m Oluchukwu Okeke —founder of Jemad Fitness, a mom of two, and a woman who’s walked the road many of us travel but few of us talk about.

My journey into fitness began long before I ever stepped into a gym. I lost my mother when I was just 9 years old. She was slim, but slimness didn’t mean she was healthy. Her passing left a scar—but also lit a fire in me to understand what true wellness really means: not just appearance, but vitality, strength, and self-care.

Years later, motherhood brought its own challenges. During my second pregnancy, I faced postpartum depression, academic pressures, and the quiet guilt that came with not “doing it all.” I was chasing deadlines, sitting for exams days after childbirth, and feeling defeated when I had to introduce formula because I couldn’t produce enough milk.

At a time when I needed support the most, I was turned away from a gym simply because I was pregnant. That moment stuck with me. It reminded me of how often women—especially mothers—are overlooked, judged, or dismissed in spaces that should uplift us.

That’s why I created Jemad Fitness.

This isn’t just a brand. It’s a safe space for women to be seen, heard, and empowered. A place where strength isn’t defined by a number on a scale, but by how boldly you live and how deeply you care for yourself. A space where fitness is rooted in longevity, energy, confidence, and self-love.
